In partnership with his wife, he founded DaMaRoJo Studios. A comic book studio in which he has published various creator-owned comic books. After a year of his first publication, Roberto was hired by DC Comics, as a writer to collaborate on the JLA 80-Page Giant 2011 One-Shot. An exciting opportunity that has added one more achievement in his growing career as an artist and writer within the Pop culture.

After Hurricane Maria hit the island of Puerto Rico way back in 2017, Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez produced an Anthology Book titled “Ricanstruction” in which Edgardo paired his creation “La Borinqueña” with various DC Comic Book Heroes. Featuring contributions from writers and artists from the comic book industry like Gail Simone, Greg Pak, Reginald Hudlin, Denys Cowan, Tony Daniel, Ken Lashley, Bill Sienkiewicz, Yanick Paquette, Gabby Rivera, Will Rosado, Jorge Jimenez, Mike Allred, Chris Sotomayor, to Puerto Rican and Latinx celebrities like Rosario Dawson, Ruben Blades, Javier Muñoz, and Sonia Manzano. 100% of the proceeds from this anthology have been channeled for continued work of helping over 3 million Americans living in Puerto Rico, providing solar-powered lamps, food, clothing and so much more.

Roberto was invited to contribute to such an amazing project and wrote a short story in which La Borinqueña restores the National Rainforest of El Yunque with the help of the Super Hero, The Swamp Thing. The story was beautifully illustrated by his friend Francisco Javier Rodriquez.

Roberto also worked as a colorist for a book that collected the works of renowned creator Gerry Conway and his work on the DC’s character Batman.

At the moment Roberto is hard at work on his creator-owned graphic novel “The Briathos Chronicles”
