Benny 3

A better writer than an illustrator, Benny Sierra became a writer very early on. Having written and directed various plays, short and full-length movies since 1995, in 2013, with the push of a couple of friends, he decided to make the jump into comics joining DaMaRoJo Studios. In comic book format, he has two titles: Crime Noir and Cowboy Sword. Launching his first title series, Crime Noir, Benny explored with a more down-to-earth type of storytelling. This collection of illustrated short stories is filled with social commentary on the dark side of the human psyche. Later on, and as a result of his inner-search, he found Bushido, the social/moral code of conduct of the Samurai class of feudal Japan. Cowboy Sword is a love letter to that lifestyle and a call to seek honor no matter your walk of life. Benny has continued his path to better himself as a writer, working on short stories, poetry, and theater plays, as well as helping others create their own art.

Handmade Crime Noir Figure

Crime Noir

A collection of illustrated short stories, where various types of crimes and the negative behavior of certain individuals in society are shown. It is social criticism of current situations, where answers are not sought, but rather the mention of such deviations.

Cowboy Sword

Master Oashisu, a high-ranking Samurai in Japan, seeks out his mortal enemy, Katsumoto, who fled justice by embarking on the new world. Back in America, Oashisu requires the help of an outlaw, and in the process learns to live by the rules of Bushido.
